Pokémon Violet

Pokémon Violet NSP ROM is the newest game in the series, developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. Traditionally, two versions of the game have been released: Violet and Scarlet. The content and gameplay are the same, but the difference lies in the starting Pokémon. Pokémon Violet takes place in the Baldia region of the Iberian Peninsula in Spain. This region is home to numerous Pokémon species, and Trainers travel there in search of Legendary Pokémon. While different versions of Pokémon games are usually distinguished by the colors and types of Pokémon, Scarlet and Violet also feature different Trainers and environments.

In addition to the game’s exclusive Pokémon (for example, only Fire Armage can use Fire Armage, while Violet only uses Dragon Armage), Scarlet players will train with Professor Sada (meaning “past” in Spanish), and Violet players will train with Professor Toro (meaning “future” in Spanish). Legendary Pokémon can be ridden by Scarlet and Violet, but there’s a slight difference in their movement, particularly due to Meraydon’s jet engine.

Will Scarlet and Violet’s Pokémon receive positive reviews?

According to the concept, Scarlet’s Legendary Pokémon Korraidon is a massive, prehistoric-looking lizard, while Violet’s Legendary Pokémon Meraydon is chrome-plated. I don’t think this has anything to do with the futuristic theme, but it does have symbolic meaning. Korraidon crawls on the ground like a giant SUV with its chest and tail resembling thick tires, while Meraydon transforms into a stylish motorcycle using its jet engine.

I guess I don’t need to remind you, as it’s mentioned in the titles of both games, but Scarlet and Violet also have different color schemes. At Naranja Academy, Scarlet wears a red (orange) dress, while at Plains Academy she wears a purple (grape) dress. I suggest you choose the simplest option based on your favorite colors and the direction of the story (past or future). Can Pokémon ride motorcycles? And if they can ride, will they need gas? These questions were posed to me by my Kotaku colleague Claire Jackson, who claims to know very little about the Pokémon series. That’s fine, I don’t have a favorite Pokémon either.

The truth is, most Pokémon games receive excellent reviews from the press.
