About This Game
Paper Mario: The Origami King NSP ROM is an action-platform game. It is the sixth game in the Paper Mario series and is part of the Mario universe. The game includes various items to unlock, collect, and complete. The story follows Mario and his friends as they try to prevent the Mushroom Kingdom from being turned into origami. To do this, Mario must save Princess Peach’s Castle from five decorative ribbons scattered throughout the kingdom.
The kingdom is under attack by origami! Join Mario and his new friend Olivia in their battle against terrifying origami soldiers. Repair the devastated lands and try to save Princess Peach’s Castle from the clutches of King Olly.
Organize the scattered enemies and plan your attacks to inflict maximum damage with a new ring-battle system that requires logic and creativity. Mario and Luigi receive an invitation from Princess Peach to attend the Origami Festival and excitedly head to Toad Town… but something goes wrong.
Gameplay
In the game player controls a 2D Mario made entirely of paper and explores a linear open world that simulates paper and cardboard. The goal is to destroy five origami flags created by the game’s main antagonist, King Olly. Throughout the adventure, the player must find each of the five flags scattered across vast open areas. These areas contain puzzles that the player must solve to progress.
During the game, Mario can collect money to buy battle equipment and hidden treasures to display in the museum. These treasures include folded or crumpled origami frogs. Mario can interact with non-playable characters, some of whom temporarily join his team and assist him in battles or interact with obstacles in the levels.
Arena Battles
Fight in arena battles against the Straw Hat Pirates! You’ll need to strategically position your enemies to inflict maximum damage! Outside of combat, Mario can interact with his surroundings at certain times thanks to his “Flexible Arms” ability: he can shoot, jump, punch, and much more. Join Mario, Olivia, and their friends on an adventure filled with laughter, excitement, and lots of push-ups!
