About This Game
Super Mario Odyssey NSP ROM (XCI) is a adventure platformer video game developed and published by Nintendo as a sequel to the original Super Mario series. In it, Mario and his hat Cappy, which allows him to control animals and objects, travel through various kingdoms to rescue Princess Peach from his archenemy, Bowser, who wants to force her to marry him. Unlike the linear gameplay of the first game, this one features an open world and 3D graphics reminiscent of Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.
In the game, players can explore stunning landscapes beyond the Mushroom Kingdom, accompanying Mario and his new friend Cappy on an expansive 3D adventure around the world. Use amazing new abilities, such as the power to grab and control objects, animals, and enemies, to collect Power Moons and charge the Odyssey to save Princess Peach from Bowser’s wedding plans.
Game Story
The story begins with Bowser defeating Mario and destroying his iconic hat. Mario awakens in the Cap Kingdom, where he and Cappy become best friends and set out to rescue Princess Peach and her tiara.
The main story of Super Mario Odyssey is completed quickly, which is a plus since there’s no need to restart the game afterward. The Power Moon menu is only unlocked after finishing the game, and some surprises are revealed later on.
Gameplay
Super Mario Odyssey is a platform game in which players control Mario as he travels through various worlds called “Kingdoms” in the hat-shaped spaceship Odyssey to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser, who wants to kidnap her.
The games Kingdoms are inspired by the exploration mechanics of Super Mario 64. In each Kingdom, Mario explores the world and completes various quests to find resources called “Power Moons,” which in Odyssey unlock new Kingdoms. Checkpoints set in each Kingdom allow Mario to collect them once they become available. Some areas feature spaces called “flats”, where Mario finds himself in a 2D side-scrolling world similar to those seen in the original Super Mario Bros. games.
