About This Game

STORY OF SEASONS Grand Bazaar NSP ROM is a simulation game where you build your own farm in Zephyr Town and recreate the famous market of the past. Set up your own stall to sell your crops and animal products, and meet charming villagers with whom you can develop friendships and romantic relationships, all while playing your part in the well-being of the community.

Create your character and settle into a dilapidated farmhouse in the peaceful town of Brisendorf. The eccentric mayor will welcome you and explain that the weekly market is the heart of the town and that you must participate in its development. You will need to roll up your sleeves, plant and harvest vegetables, raise animals in the barn, and befriend various NPCs. You will get to know them better through quests and cutscenes, and in some cases, you can even marry them. The days, weeks, and seasons will pass by helplessly. As you can see, the game retains many of the genre’s distinctive elements.

For those unfamiliar with the game, the Grand Bazaar is based on a weekly market where residents set up their stalls every Saturday to sell their goods and services. Unlike other installments in the series, it gives the game a unique structure that demands planning: growing produce and selling it immediately is no longer enough. Now you have to plan what you are going to offer at the market and when to produce it. Every action you take in the game must take this into account. You can sell items if necessary, but if you do not participate, you will lose your progress and a significant amount of money.

Explore The World Of Magical Companions

With the Zephyr Town expansion, players can now use a paraglider to take advantage of the town’s distinctive winds and explore both new and familiar locations. Another new feature: Harvest Spirits. Although present in the series, they were not in the original Grand Bazaar. In this new version, they will help you sell your items at the market and run a shop where you can spend Happiness Points earned by completing tasks that symbolize a full life. Their stalls, which are only accessible during market hours, offer stamina bonuses.

Access your warehouse at other locations around town, discover new customization options for your market stall, and more. Outside of the market, these genies offer a different service: each of the five small genies is associated with a type of item. Collectables, fish, insects, mushrooms, and honey—if you give the corresponding item to a genie, you can improve its quality. While in most cases this only gives you Happiness Points, every four levels you will also receive a natural increase in the quality of the type of item you collect.

Check Out The Beauty Of Zephyr Town

This is another factor to consider, as some items take days to produce (each windmill can only produce a limited number of items at a time). Wind also affects movement: your character gains a paraglider at the start of the game, allowing you to reach certain areas more quickly or jump over inaccessible places when there is no wind. Movement may feel a little awkward at first, but over time, exploring the city and discovering new corners becomes a real pleasure. Beyond its unique elements, Grand Bazaar perfectly recreates the classic formula of farming simulations.

The gameplay is very fun, and focusing on producing goods requires considering which crops to plant. For example, rice is incredibly versatile for recipes and can be processed into rice flour and vinegar. These products are used in other recipes and to preserve vegetables, which is why I put it in a lot. I also appreciated the way the pets work: in addition to keeping dogs and cats on the farm, with a little practice, you can move the animals in and out of their barns, which improves their health and reduces their food consumption. Many clever ideas make Grand Bazaar a truly well-designed game.
