Princess Peach Showtime! NSP ROM is an action-adventure game for the Nintendo Switch. In the game, Peach, with the help of her guardian Stella, embarks on a series of theatrical performances to free the Sparkling Theater from captivity.
While she transforms, Peach interacts with her environment in clever ways: she hides her face behind two cardboard bushes to blend in with the tall grass, swings to decorate a giant cake below, uses a bamboo stick to breathe underwater (another incredibly stealthy technique), and performs spectacular acrobatics.
Remember those treasure chests we mentioned earlier? Some are very well hidden. None require great skill, but we were happy to learn that we didn’t find them all during the game. They give players a great reason to come back, even if only briefly. Princess Peach: Show Time! It sounds like a little gem for the Switch, but it’s clearly aimed at a much wider audience, which may make it less appealing to some.

It’s incredibly simple, but we had a lot of fun playing it from start to finish, with a happy smile on our faces. We think many parents with young children and anyone looking to relax between rounds of Elden Ring will find it very enjoyable. While Princess Peach: Showtime! draws inspiration from previous Mario games, once you start playing you’ll find that it has a lot more to offer.
Don’t expect the depth and intricate combos of more detailed action games like Bayonetta or Devil May Cry, though. Showtime! is very easy to pick up and play. There’s a jump button, an action button, and triggers that allow you to unlock new areas and trigger events. While clearly aimed at a younger audience, a casual player will likely be able to get to the end of the level fairly easily, while a more experienced player will have to complete it in its entirety.
Thanks To Stella’s Bow, Peach Can Transform Into Unique Outfits And Gain Special Abilities Depending On The Environment!
At one point, I transformed into Pastry Chef Peach, a baker who baked cookies and decorated cakes with a piping bag in Frank’s mini-games. Surprisingly, it was a lot harder than being a ninja. I had to follow the cream pattern while balancing on a giant cake under the guidance of friendly pastry chefs. Showtime expands Peach’s repertoire in a variety of ways. By acquiring a special lasso in each themed level,
Peach can transform into a cowboy, swordsman, skateboarder, kung fu master, and more. Nintendo recently announced that Mermaid Peach, Power Peach, and Thief Peach are also included in the game. Each of these variations is very easy to play with. In fact, you only need to press two buttons: jump and use your power. As Cowboy Patch, my actions included throwing acid gang members and throwing barrels.
