Hollow Knight NSP ROM is a 2D action adventure game across a huge interconnected world. Explore sprawling caves, ancient cities, and deadly wastelands; battle corrupted creatures and befriend strange insects; unravel the ancient mysteries that lie at the heart of this world. This is one of the best games ever released for the Nintendo Switch.
The world of Hollownest, shown below, initially appears to be a simple series of strange rooms, but it turns out to be infinite; each area is progressively more sinister, with the last becoming increasingly terrifying. I almost got lost instantly. Hollow Knight’s slow movement and simple jumping forced me to search for mobility upgrades. After an hour, I managed to restore part of the map and face the boss.
Difficulty Level of the Hollow Knight NSP ROM
The boss was so difficult that I immediately regretted buying the game. I died so many times that I thought there was a door that required a new item to open, but I didn’t give up. After defeating him, I couldn’t find a way forward. No, he was guarding a rare item. I’d see him again soon, only this time as a different enemy. Good grief! Finding anything easy or friendly in the world of Hollow Knight was a real challenge.
Many of the magnificent hand-drawn creatures had glowing orange eyes, a clear sign of the Hollownest invasion. The frantic tension between save points kept me on the edge of my seat. Even the most common enemies posed a threat in a platformer, and traversing the long distances between save points and bosses required skill. Falling in combat split Hollow Knight in two, leaving behind money and a piece of the magic wand. Dying on the second attempt meant losing all that hard-earned cash—an unbelievable possibility.

Yes, a masterpiece. A game that deserves a perfect score without hesitation (I wish this review room had such a scoring system). But let’s not get ahead of ourselves; there’s much more to say before we get to the score. Our Hollow Knight review ends here. Hollow Knight isn’t a new game, at least not on PC; players have been enjoying it for over a year (since February 2017), and it has gained immense popularity during that time. It’s surprising that it doesn’t appear on many “best games of 2017” lists. Or perhaps not, because I know very well that many were eagerly awaiting its release on Switch (we should talk sometime about that strange effect that makes indie games more appealing on hybrid consoles).
Summary
Hollow Knight is a fantastic Metroidvania-style platformer game with a challenging and brutal combat system. We’re sure fans of the Dark Souls series will love it. The game will periodically feature unexpected and challenging boss battles.
