About This Game

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy NSP ROM is an action platformer that lets you relive three original PlayStation games on Nintendo Switch with improved graphics and the same classic gameplay. Activision and Vicarious Visions bring us a piece of platforming history. Crash Bandicoot is a legend of the genre.

It’s been over 20 years since this marsupial, created by Naughty Dog (the studio behind The Last of Us Part II and the Uncharted series), gave us unforgettable moments on our first PlayStation. And it’s nostalgic to see him return in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on Nintendo Switch.

See How Times Have Changed

Crash Bandicoot and Nintendo are inseparable. However, the original trilogy has never been ported to any Nintendo console. Activision, in collaboration with Switch developer Toys for Bob, has revived the three original PlayStation games and compiled them into an HD collection. These games are extremely faithful to their predecessors, which has both advantages and disadvantages.

The collection includes HD remakes of the original Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex’s Revenge, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. The first two games emphasize learning through trial and error. Be warned: you’ll die a lot, so stock up on lives! Warped offers the widest variety of gameplay and is the most polished of the three. All three were released at the dawn of the 3D platforming era, and this is reflected in their gameplay.

Explore Perfectly Crafted Platforming Levels

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy retains the quirky style of its levels, its humor, and its beloved characters that we remember fondly (not forgetting the console’s unofficial mascot), while maintaining the demanding controls and sometimes moody camera. In the first game, in particular, you will face enemies that appear suddenly and jump that require a lot of precision.

A significant challenge compared to recent games. However, there is no need to analyze in detail everything that this cartridge offers, since it is essentially identical to the aforementioned PS4 game. What is interesting is the new features offered by the Switch version compared to the PS4 version. On this subject, there are some good points and some not so good.
